Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Appium QA Engineer at Block Earner. The Appium QA Engineer will be responsible for:

• Planning and writing automated tests using Appium (Java)
• Occasionally writing API tests with REST Assured
• Conducting Exploratory testing
• Creating detailed bug reports in JIRA
• Investigating issues using monitoring tools such as Datadog
• Manually testing APIs when necessary (e.g., using Swagger or Postman)
• Participating in daily stand-ups and collaborating closely with developers and the product owner

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an automation QA, preferably with mobile app testing
• Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, REST Assured, and Swagger
• Proven ability to set up CI/CD pipelines for Appium (e.g., AWS, Browserstack)
• A QA mindset: the ability to thoroughly investigate and go beyond the “happy path”
• Strong sense of ownership, and being proactive
• Good command of English, we are an international team
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of blockchain technology is a plus

What we offer

A full-time contract position, 100% remote. Competitive compensation of up to USD 2,500/month, 38-hr work weeks (Monday to Friday, no weekend work).
