Jito Labs is seeking an Operations Specialist to help build the future of decentralized finance on Solana. We are looking for an organized and hungry individual that can help keep Jito running smoothly. You’ll be a key part of Jito’s fast-paced and talented team. The role will be dynamic with 50-70% of time covering financial-related tasks and the balance on strategic projects. You’ll be working closely with our COO, administrative specialist and outside service providers (bookkeeper, tax advisors).
Responsibilities:
-Manage accounting including on-chain activity tracking. Jito utilizes a third-party bookkeeper but they need guidance for on-chain information and other nuances
-Prepare financial reports to monitor treasury assets, spending changes & business KPIs
-Lead process for federal and local tax reporting. Working with third-party tax specialists
-Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency
-Manage invoices, contracts and relationships with various service providers
-Special projects will be very dynamic. Include projects like vendor selection and contract negotiation; developing new operational infrastructure; and other key strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
-3-5 years in an accounting or finance-related role. Includes direct accounting, investment banking or consulting work experience
-Crypto-native with significant personal or professional experience in the industry
-Highly organized, attention to detail and eager to take charge of variety of projects with undefined process
-Must be able to prioritize, problem solve, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information
-Stellar written and verbal communication skills
-Must be experienced in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
-Legally authorized to work in the US
Nice to have:
-Prior startup experience (preferably with crypto or fintech company)
-Familiarity with startup equity structures (SAFEs) and basic legal experience
-Some technical knowledge such as SQL/DB skills
