As the Head of Sales, you will be a key driver of Derive's growth, playing a pivotal role in expanding our user base and forming strategic partnerships that will define the future of DeFi.

Title: Core Contributor (Sales Lead) at Derive (Formerly Lyra)

Location: Remote (APAC timezone preferred)

Position: Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a dynamic sales strategy to accelerate client acquisition, increase market share, and position Derive as a leader in the DeFi space.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to ensure sales efforts are aligned with product innovation and market positioning. Provide critical feedback on client needs and emerging market trends to drive product evolution.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with clients, partners, and market makers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Assemble, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team. Instill a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and regions. Spearhead initiatives to boost client engagement and retention.
  • Forge and manage strategic partnerships with industry leaders, including leading DeFi protocols (e.g. liquid restaking, BTC finance) to enhance Derive's market presence.
  • Oversee all aspects of sales operations, including pipeline management and CRM optimization.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Industry Expertise: Extensive knowledge of derivatives markets, with a particular focus on options and structured products.
  • In-depth understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) and blockchain technology, with a strong ability to adapt to rapidly evolving market dynamics.
  • Sales Acument: Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive results.
  • Communication: Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building strong client relationships
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to craft and execute strategic plans while identifying and capitalizing on new trends in the on-chain environment.
