In this role, you’ll help define our product and cloud security strategy while directly contributing to the design and security of systems that power our business. WHAT YOU’LL DO

Develop and drive the vision for product and cloud security architecture

Build, coach, and mentor a small team of security architects or engineers

Set and maintain secure architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices

Advocate for security across the organization, presenting architecture decisions clearly to engineering and product

Help establish a security architecture review process, embedding security early into product and infrastructure design

Lead and perform technical threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security design assessments

Architect cloud security solutions for services built on AWS and GCP

Help design security for APIs, microservices, serverless functions, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines

Build cloud security reference architectures and reusable security components

Participate directly in code reviews, design discussions, and incident investigations

Work hand-in-hand with cross functional stakeholders to ensure security is baked into everything we build

Partner with GRC and Compliance teams to meet regulatory obligations through strong architectural controls

Create a scalable security architecture engagement model for internal teams

Track metrics and demonstrate the impact of security architecture initiatives to leadership

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

8+ years of experience in security architecture roles, including at least 2 years leading or mentoring technical team

2+ years of experience building secure cloud architectures (AWS, and/or GCP)

2+ years of experience building developer first product security program

Practical experience with architecture risk analysis, threat modeling, and secure design reviews

Deep technical knowledge of securing AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms

Experience integrating security into modern DevOps environments, CI/CD and secure development lifecycle practices

Ability to write code and scripts to automate, test, or deploy security solutions (Python, Go, Bash, etc.)

Ability to clearly translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders

Strong organizational habits and attention to detail

Ability to manage competing priorities and timelines without dropping the ball

Comfortable working independently, but collaborative when it counts

Strong risk management mindset with experience facilitating risk assessments and mitigation strategies
